I wish people would use their talent to make new designs, instead of copying other people's work. The amount of effort that went into copying those could have produced two or three new and different designs that everyone would be fawning over.

At least the R Pride deep offset wheels for FWD are different enough from the originals that they are more accurately described as "inspired by" instead of copies.



F3ared's post was really on mark. 4x100 +20 was the size for Gemini, I-Mark, Piazza, and BMW 318, and almost nothing else. This was the size of the transition period between the age of RWD and the current age of FWD, as the hubs and brakes got moved farther out and recessed into the wheels.

Unless someone is marketing specifically for Civics with flared fenders...

Otherwise, they might be putting flower wheels on old BMWs.

no, these are meant for the honda crowd. that offset is meant to get the "hella flush" neg. camber look that they are shooting for now a days, cough, cough, barely catching on.

they don't make pcd's we can use cause the market (here US) is not calling for them as much as the honda crowd. they are just too damn blind to see that the "real" old school crowd has been and will always be around.

either way, they are no the first one to copy these. Some company onyja has been doing it for a few years. They use to show pictures of scions boxes with them, but they were the japanese counterpart.

Personally i think all you guys complaining need to stfu, as these sizes and offsets are perfect for those of us with 4X100 cars such as the Isuzu/Holden Gemini/Buick Opel by Isuzu, Miata's etc! For too long we have been shafted by the 4X114.3 crowd, getting all the nice wheels designed for you.. Wheel manufacturers have ignored 4X100 for anything below +40 and we havnt been able to get anything that fits..

What im curious about is how f*cking hard is it, and it seems to be a major oversight by 90% of wheel companies....the PCD on *most* wheels is drilled onto a part of the wheel where the design doesnt really intrude - almost like an axle flange. How hard is it to set the bloody machinery to be able to drill in both PCD's..

they dont look too bad since its coming from axis. knockoffs work since even finding most of the rims is almost impossible for a decent price these days. if they came in a 0 offset and 4x114 id rock them

You know, with some 25mm thick adapters, that's exactly what they'd be.

i have fender flares so the fatter the lip the better

I remember how tough it was to find good low-offset 4x100 stuff when I had my long string of Miatas.

That said, VWVortex is a good place to look, they have a dedicated 4x100 section.
