 Post subject: Tuning shops/J tin attractions in Los Angeles

I am graduating from college this May, and to celebrate my girlfriend and I are leaving the quiet hills of Wheeling, WV (which is a little sparse in J-tin) and riding the train to visit my cousin in Los Angeles. I will be renting a car so that we can explore the surrounding areas, and was wondering if there are some must-see spots for some antique Japanese goodness. Specifically, are there any tuning shops that welcome people to just look around? And are there any substantial meets that occur weekly in the greater LA area? We'll be in town for the week of May 13th I believe. Who's got the 411 on SoCal JDM attractions?

Oh, too bad. The TORC ToyotaFest car show is May 5 at the Queen Mary in Long Beach...

There is always Toysport. And I believe, if you call ahead, you can get into the Toyota Museum in Torrance.
