I usually don't make build threads before the build is finished, but I figured what the hell. I'm bored.

1989 Toyota Supra 5-speed N/A. I bought it in December of '07 from the original owner since December of '88. Everything was original. 100% rust free. Car spent it's whole life in Mississippi.

I was going to build up the 7M until I came across a 2JZ-GE for $250. I just couldn't pass it up.

2JZ-GE from a 1994 Lexus SC300
Turbonetics 60-1
440cc injectors
SAFC II in conjunction with an AEM wideband
OEM 2JZ-GTE Headgasket with ARP studs

The 2JZGE will be ran off of 7M-GTE sensors, ECU, and wiring harness. IS300 coil packs will be used for ignition.

The block just came back from the machine shop getting the cylinder walls honed and the deck resurfaced. New rings and bearings are on order from Toyota.

Took the head apart, did some porting and polishing. Installed the oil pan and waterpump.

Alright, so because the 2JZGE has an intake manifold that goes over the engine, I had a problem with the throttle body hitting the hot-side of the turbo The intercooler piping to the throttle body will not clear. So I just purchased a Ford 4.6L throttle body from a Crown Victoria from eBay for $25.

Going to have to cut and weld a new flange to the Y-Pipe.

Don't worry, the hole will be cleaned up.

Just ordered the alternator and Walbro fuel pump last night. Throttle body is getting finished up.

So far this budget build is just under $1,800

Finished up the flange for the throttle body. I am very happy with the results. I would highly recommend this to anybody with a turbo'd 2JZGE that doesn't want to use a FFIM. We also welded a 7M TPS sensor flange to the throttle body aswell so that it can accept a 7M throttle position sensor.

I might. I'll shoot you a PM soon.

A few family members own Supras, I'll see if any of them want it first.

Had to chop the compressor housing up a bit and weld in an elbow to clear the frame rail of the car.

Cold-side intercooler piping is almost complete.

Here is the intercooler plumbing specs:

2.5" plumping from turbo to intercooler --> 2.5" plumbing from intercooler to AFM --> 3" from AFM to throttle body

3" piping for intake. BOV will be placed on the hot-side piping before the intercooler.

I'm running a blow-through set-up for the AFM, so that I can vent the BOV to the atmosphere.
