 Post subject: suspension tips?

i have a 1983 toyota cressida and im in the process of trying to lower it but i have no idea what works cause no one makes coilover. help please.

x7 coilovers will work if you redrill the holes in the strut tower :wink:

Is that all i would need to do and everything else would fit? Also Any suggestions for X7 coilovers. I was thinking ksports.

theres a writeup on tc.net i'll dig up. as far as coilover suggestions i'd say JIC or emotions

i think meagans from x7 may fit. or may have to just chop originals and weld on coils. i am wondering if ae86 struts/spindle would fit.

AE86 strut tubes are smaller than Cressida, and the spindle bolt pattern is different.

i myself have a mx63
not too easy for parts for this chassis no one does them very much but like they all have said im pretty sure the x7 components will work
i for right now am rockin cut springs till i get more money

I'll clear all this "guessing" right now.

X7 parts WILL WORK, 100% without a doubt.

Cut springs in the rear are DANGEROUS without a limiting strap. The springs can unseat and come out if the car is jacked up or unweighted enough; like going over a large rolling hump in the road you didn't see, or didn't know was there.

1) Buy X7 coilovers.
2) Install
3) DONE.
