Back in January of this year I arranged to buy an entire RX-7 two-seater rear interior conversion off eBay from a seller in Oregon. After a lot of to-ing and fro-ing he finally agreed to send the items from Portland, OR to a relative of mine across the state line in Vancouver, WA. However the day before he was scheduled to send the items he claims that the UPS carrier accidentally picked up the package
which was unlabeled and no trace of it has been found ever since.
From communicating with him via phone, email and eBay, I have no real reason not to trust what he's telling me - but what strikes me as odd is UPS's supposed reluctance to try and track down the package.
To anyone who's dealt with them before, is it really that hard for UPS to find something that was picked up with no destination address, in a rather large box, that could only have gone to one of several destinations? Or am I being taken on a rather dodgy ride by the seller?
Advice appreciated!
