Posted this in my existing thread but couldn't get an answer do here it is again. The spark plug in cylinder 1 is blocked by a mount for the air pump on my Cressida. The angle is such that I can't get the socket into the tube. Even with the socket off the ratchet entirely, it simply won't fit. Can anyone tell me how to get at this spark plug?

Anyone needing a picture can find one in my thread

Thanks guys. I guess that's what happens when you deal with a part that was added post-design. Any idea what size of belt I'm going to need when the pump is removed?

I actually had a bracket made to move the power steering pump to the other side of the engine.. So not sure. Your smog pump is your tensioner if I remember correctly so you would either need to add a tensioner pulley in its place or just remove it to get to your plug then put it back.

49" v-belt straight from the crank to PS pulley. Belt # 49017.

I grabbed a PS pump bracket from a 4ME or 5ME Cressida without the smog pump. The power steering pump will be the tensioner.

Awesome, thanks. I'll have to keep my eye out for a second gen cressida in the yard. Not sure what my chances will be, but we'll see.
