Heres a Mazda 808 coupe I owned around 1995.

I rescued it from a council impound lot for $15.
This is what it looked like when I got it.

I picked up a sedan for $150 for the straight front end, lights and other bits and pieces. Then I stripped the coupe back and repainted it a metallic blue.

I also pulled out the engine and rebuilt it with new rings and bearings.

Here's what it looked like when finished.

The interior cleaned up well. I put a set of seat covers over the seats (front and back), and made a custom center console, and everything else was fine. Don't have any pictures of the interior after though.

I was a student at the time, and fixed it up over a period of about 6 months.
